From Austin, TX to the Community Arts Center
Austin, Texas resident, Judith Taylor, has been here visiting her daughter and grandchildren who are Altadena residents. As had been her custom since arriving, she was engaging in her daily walking tour of the area when she came upon the Altadena Community Arts Center on North Lake. At the time, the Center's gallery was showing its "Black History Month Exhibition" and, having heard about it, Judith wanted in to see it no matter that the Center had not yet opened on the day she visited (That's how we lovers of art are.). With her cell phone handy, she gave a call to Executive Director, Mary Ann Stevenson, and in a flash, Judith had the center to herself alone to enjoy the art on exhibit and the many visual memories of her visit to the Center to take home to Austin, TX.
